The Clone Wars.

I’ve just enjoyed the latest episode of The Clone Wars, ‘Shades Of Reason’.

Picking up exactly where last week left off, Maul sets all of his different criminals to attack seperate key locations on Mandalore. The public, predictably, lose faith in Satine, and Death Watch arrive and say they’ll sort the issue out. One by one they then stop and arrest the people responsible for attacking Mandalore (it’s all part of Maul’s plan). However, Visla also arrests Maul and locks him up, claiming control of Mandalore.

Unfortunately for Visla, he’s stupid enough to lock Maul in a cell with Savage, and the 2 decide to have a walk around the prison. Maul locates the former Prime Minister and decide that he should rule instead of Visla. Maul then challenges Visla to single combat. Whilst we know that Visla is good (he held off Obi-Wan single-handedly), he’s not really a match for Maul (especially after he cut Maul’s cheek with a razor dart). Maul kills him and seizes control of Death Watch. Some few soldiers rebel, but Maul puts the former Prime Minister in charge again, and at the end of the episode he’s in charge of Mandalore.

It was a great episode, rounded off with a fantastic fight scene. It was great to finally see the best of Darth Maul again. I can’t wait for the next episode to see how this storyline continues.

Thanks for reading.
